Let me start this off by saying how thrilled I am to have been asked to lead the Guale Historical Society of Camden County, Georgia!
My plans for the Society are simple:
- increase interest in local history
- increase interest in our Society
- bring the Society into the 21st century!
Please check back often. I will work to add welcomes from other members and add a calendar of events (both within and without Guale) as soon as possible.

I think this will be a great way to share historical information, especially for people that want to get the word out but don't have a lot of time.
Well, I hope everyone else agrees with us! I'll bring it up at the next meeting. We'll be having an executive meeting at 6:30 if you'd like to attend. I received an email from Terry Jackson regarding establishing a closer working relationship between our groups. I think it would be fantastic!! I'm going to bring it up to the HS.
